Fun Fact
I am a lover of the world, but God is in the details! My favorite subjects are: Music, video games, watching video documentaries, learning about online culture. People describe me as an intellectual, but I've had some hard knocks to help the learning process. I started my first job as a laborer for the city of Lewis and learning on the fly was the name of the game. It's my specialty, you might say.
Past Experience
I have worked in Derby for a little over eight years, two and a half of those directly in education. I attended WSU for half that time contemplating which area of interest would best suit me; how can I use my gifts and abilities in the most effective way to bolster my community? My love for knowledge and the importance of protecting it from influence drives me to pursue a position of the Board of Education. I believe I can make a difference in how our community looks at the education system.
My Top Issues
After school programs
I believe we can continue assist parents by reinforcing programs to keep them structured during regular working times.
Promoting voter participation and education
We must grow our awareness of the voting process and up the number of voters in our area and in the State as a whole.
Supporting initiatives against discrimination
Exclusion can be easy to spot, or it can be hidden behind other motives. We must continue to expand on anti-bullying initiatives.
