Continue supporting Vision Zero and continue funding fare free buses.

Encourage and invest in 100% affordable housing developments and support alternative housing structures to facilitate meaningful competition in the market.

Support small businesses and encourage needed commercial resources in residential neighborhoods, like grocery stores and bodegas, pharmacies, and childcare facilities.

Push for development and design that gets Durham closer to a 15-minute city with safe, multi-modal transit.

Invest in needed infrastructure like sidewalks, safer streets, and trails.

Facilitate meaningful conversations around the root causes of community violence and address those issues directly.

Continue pushing for the expansion of unarmed, alternative crisis response (HEART).

Utilize local codes to ensure homes are habitable and safe for renters.

Invest more in parks – ensuring adequate funding for upkeep and maintenance of our already established facilities and for expansion and creation of new green space that is accessible to everyone.

Work with the County to provide alternative shelter options, both day and non-congregant, to give our unhoused neighbors a safe place for respite and access to needed resources.

Support increased funding for youth programming and summer camps or internships, and provide wrap-around services for youth so that they have access to counseling, mentorship, and art, as well as space to play.

Continue funding eviction diversion and defense programs to keep people in their homes and down payment assistance to help community members achieve homeownership.

Create real pathways to gainful employment and invest in homegrown talent by partnering with local schools, nonprofits, and for profit entities.
