Fun Fact
I enjoy playing the electric guitar and piano for my personal enjoyment. Not at an advanced level, but wonderfully satisfying none the less.
Past Experience
My life has been spent working to better the lives of people in need. After over 35 years serving as a CEO and senior manager of organizations from small to large ones with more than 150 employees and multiple facilities, I am ready to put those skills to work for our Lago Vista citizens. My Master’s degree is in City Management and Planning, and I understand the complexity of managing a city for optimal growth.
My Top Issues
Balance development with neighborhood preservation
Lago Vista has great natural beauty, with high hills covered with cedar and hardwood trees. Developers should preserve those to the fullest extent possible.
Investing in park maintenance and improvement
Improving our parks is one of the highest interests of our city. We need to consider dog park additions, more playground equipment suitable for children with special needs, and shade where that is insufficient such as Sunset Park.
Enhancing transparency and accountability
Past city councils have made decisions without adequate public notice and participation in those. We must have clear communication and fair, community -focused decisions.
Infrastructure / Transportation
Smart Growth Ensure new development is carefully managed and doesn't overwhelm our water, sewer, or city services.
Infrastructure / Transportation
Community First Invest in streets, drainage, parks, and recreation—especially for young families.
Government Reform
Transparency & Accountability Demand clear communication and fair, community-focused decisions from City Council.
