My Top Issues
Invest in local public education
Public education systems sustain societies and offer opportunity for equity among all community members.
Early childhood education
Early childhood programs set our students up for success. We need to insure our programs are funded adequately and that our teachers are supported with needs such as adequate planning time, compensation for work outside contract hours, and curriculums that are developmentally appropriate.
Enhancing transparency and accountability
Public education systems are funded, in part, with local taxpayer dollars. As such, taxpayers have the right to question district spending and insure their dollars are not being wasted. As a board member, I will seek to find areas where spending can be trimmed and yet still provide quality access for students and staff.
