My Top Issues

Taxes / Budget

Midland tax dollars should be managed with the same care and scrutiny as our own household budgets. Too often, city programs move forward without proper oversight, leading to waste and misplaced priorities.

Education

Shandi will champion forward-looking infrastructure plans that anticipate growth, schedule repairs strategically, and prevent problems before they become costly crises. By prioritizing efficiency and long-term planning, she will work to ensure road projects are completed on time, with minimal disruption, and are built to last.

Infrastructure / Transportation

Midland families and businesses depend on safe, reliable roads, yet poor planning has too often turned necessary improvements into years-long ordeals. Project delays create constant congestion, hurt local businesses, and frustrate residents.

Taxes / Budget

Shandi believes every dollar must be spent wisely, with clear accountability and measurable results. She will work to ensure taxpayer money is spent essential services and projects that improve quality of life while working to restore public trust in a City Council that serves the community.

Infrastructure / Transportation

She believes residents deserve regular updates on city projects: what’s being done, how it’s being funded, and when it will be finished. Shandi will hold contractors and vendors accountable, emphasizing adherence to timelines, budgets, and promises. Her commitment to open communication and strong oversight will build the trust Midland deserves in its City Council.
