Job description
The County Community Council is responsible for advising the county commissioners and meets on a quarterly basis.
Eligibility requirements
Candidate must be a resident elector of Miami-Dade County for at least three years prior to qualifying. Candidate must be a resident elector of Council area for at least six months prior to qualifying. Candidate must be a resident elector of the Subarea for at least three months prior to qualifying. No council member shall be employed by Miami-Dade County or be a member of the County Commission. Community Council members are prohibited by Code from sitting on more than one County board. At qualifying, interested candidates shall submit proof of residency which shall establish that the qualifying candidate has met the residency requirements for the required period.

Filing requirements: Filing fee is $100; signature requirement of 1% of registered voters.
